Applied Quantum Research Intern
BosonQ Psi is looking for an Applied Quantum Research Intern to accelerate our quantum algorithm development. BosonQ Psi is developing the world's first-ever engineering software, BQPhy™, that leverages the power of Quantum computing. This paid internship will be a three-month remote position with possible extension and/or full-time role.
As part of the Quantum computing team, you will be involved in Quantum algorithm research and development. You are expected to:
Perform a literature review of existing algorithms.
Aid algorithm implementation team from theoretical point-of-view.
Develop novel quantum algorithms.
Strong mathematical background required with focus on linear algebra, differential equations, complex numbers, and/or combinatorics.
Theoretical computer science background would be preferred.
Pursuing a graduate degree in applied mathematics, theoretical physics, quantum information science, or computer science would be preferred.
Highly qualified upperclassman undergraduates and industry professionals will be considered.
You should be highly motivated and dynamic, have good communication and analytical skills, be a problem solver and a team player, and be interested in working in a startup culture.
