Senior Structural Mechanics Developer

 Responsibilities:

  • Develop the Multi-Body Dynamics capability to perform Crash Analysis simulations.

  • Apply advanced FE methodologies and techniques to drive innovation in design and analysis.

  • Act as a subject matter expert in vehicle structural design and occupant protection for crashworthiness.

  • Perform validation/verification studies and generate detailed reports of post-crash test analysis.

  • Collaborate with the Quantum Team to develop novel techniques.

  • Work alongside the test engineering team to support subsystem level and full vehicle crash tests.

  • Conduct studies by utilizing optimization tools, including DOE/DFSS techniques on vehicle designs to meet performance requirements with the constraints of conflicting attributes like cost and mass.

Qualification Required:

  • Advanced Graduate degree in Applied Mechanics, Structural/Civil Engineering, or Physics.

  • MS + Minimum 5 years of related industry experience or Ph.D. + Minimum 2 years of related industry experience in architecting and developing large-scale FEM software.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development projects functional and technical design specification.

  • Minimum 5 years of programming experience in Fortran/C/C++//Python.

  • You should be highly motivated and dynamic, have good communication and analytical skills, be a problem solver and a team player, and be interested in working in a start-up culture.
